CROIS Total Care Service includes:
PRIOR TO DEPARTING TO CROATIA:
- Patients do not pay CROIS d.o.o. for the below Total Care Service as it is free of charge. Patients are therefore aware that seeking medical treatment abroad is totally their decision and the resposiblility of outcome is between the patient and the medical provider
- Upon receiving your enquiry we will contact you with full details regarding your requested operation or treatment in Croatia
- Once you have made your decision to have your operation or treatment in Croatia then we will finalise your booking and commence making all the necessary arrangements .
- A suitable travel date will be decided with you, a detailed itinerary and special offer for recommended hotels and accommodation provided if needed
- All relevant medical notes available forwarded to the designated overseas hospital or clinic
- Total estimated price quotation is finalised
- Provide information regarding reimbursement from the Icelandic Health Insurance for medical treatment in Croatia, see here: https://www.sjukra.is/english/health-insurance-abroad/
- In need of hospitalization the patient needs to get pre-approval from the Icelandic Health Insurance for reimbursement see here: https://www.sjukra.is/english/health-insurance-abroad/medical-treatment-abroad/. Due to waiting lists in Iceland and treatment in Croatia the Icelandic Health Insurance will pay for the medical care, travel expenses, and living expenses (fixed amonunt). If the patient needs escort, professonal or other, the patient´s doctor needs to apply for the escort and confirm that it is necessary for the patient.
- At this point a confirmation letter will be sent to you with all details regarding your operation, together with a Patient Order Form which you will need to sign and return to us
ON ARRIVING TO CROATIA:
- In case of medical care that requires hospitalization, a representative from the hospital will meet and greet the patient at the airport and transfer them to the hospital
- If receiving dental treatment or minor medical services without hospitalization the patient will receive detailed information regarding the location of the clinic and hotel and transport from the airport

- All drugs, x-rays and implants costs are included in total estimated price
- Due to hospitalization, accommodation and meals are provided
- En-Suite Private Hospital Rooms with Television, English magazines and complimentary Wi-fi
- Provide English speaking doctors and nurses to look after patients
- Work to internationally recognized standards, with advanced surgical facilities
- Employ highly qualified physicians and specialists of all medical disciplines
- Ensure extremely high standards of patient care at all times
- Ensure patients are treated with utmost respect and dignity
- Provide any post-operative treatment and rehabilitation as required
FOR PATIENT'S COMFORT AND ADDED PEACE OF MIND:
- 24 hour Assistance Helpline with highly qualified staff on hand to assist any patient's requests
- 24 Hour Medical Staff are available when staying at the overseas hospital
- Assistance for any accompanying relatives or friends can be arranged, if required
ON LEAVING HOSPITAL:
- Transfer to the airport for departure back home - provided by the hospital for patients who needed hospitalization
- Arrangement of any special assistance required when returning to the home country including travel assistance and wheelchair assistance
- Medical report for your GP and detailed medical case notes
Aftercare:
- If at any stage upon returning home you have any general questions or queries relating to your surgery procedure or medical care then please contact us immediately and we will arrange for the surgeon or for one of the hospital staff to contact you by telephone at a time convenient to yourself.
- If you experience any pain when you are back home, then please contact us immediately and we will discuss the further options directly with you.
Follow up upon return home
- Once you are back home then one of our staff will contact you to ensure that you were satisfied with the service provided.
- In case of minor medical services without hospitalization, assistance regarding available reimbursement from your domestic Health insurance or labor union is provided opon request.
- We will also post to you a Patient Feedback Questionnaire which we would kindly ask you to fill in and return to us. This helps us to ensure the patient’s satisfaction by ensuring that we are meeting our patient's requirements in all aspects of our Total Care Service and also making any improvements to where needed.
